Chapter 1. lullaby falls

Lullaby Falls was not always thus. However, before the apocalypse a multitude of birds varying in hue did kiss the green park tress with their plumage. The sun shone down nourishing the happy citizens who went about their carefree lives all a twitter. A cool breeze quenched the heat of the day for those enjoying a relaxing moment in swing or upon stool.

This is the reality of life that so quickly faded into the collective memory of the community of this once fair land. Once upon a time there was light and it bore life and happiness to one and all. For more than three years the joy of light was unknown to Lullaby Falls.

Now in Lullaby Falls only two types of day time existed. For a brief few hours a predawn dusk would fill the sky filling the hearts of all with hope that day would once again break upon the land. But the majority of the time Lullaby Falls was shrouded in the deep dark of night with only the pinpricks of light to show a glimmer of something different to those that could spare the time looking up.

A great evil had come upon the land and like a wave crashing upon the beach it had suddenly covered the world as Lullaby Falls knew it in darkness.

The precursors had been so slight they went unnoticed to the community as a
whole. The evil one’s touch took centuries to fester and grow. It planted many seeds until finally one grew.

The greatest lie of all became truth; it was one single word that doomed the world to blackness. That word was not! It is in the nature of mankind to inherently know right from wrong. However one day what was so obviously wrong was suddenly not wrong anymore. This changed all of society so gradually that no one could really put their finger upon a day and say “Here, here is the day here is the thing that caused the apocalypse”.

Like a chain reaction caused by knocking down the first domino good slowly turned into less good. Evil turned into not so bad. Then one day not had perverted the world into a haven for the Evil one to flourish.

Upon that day like a thief in the night he stole the light known to only the most knowing as Sunrise 5ive and the apocalypse had truly begun.

Now a once tight and loving community strove amongst itself. Parents forgot the love they bore their children and only thought of themselves and their own pleasures. Aspiring artists threw down their palettes and picked up spray cans to scroll their lewdest imaginings upon the face of every monument and wall in Lullaby Falls. Whole societies of the young who had once aspired to a higher education not roved the streets all darkness long for victims they could rob and beat. Farmers no longer cultivated with love to feed the community now they hoarded for themselves and the hungry in Lullaby Falls had to
scavenge, hunt, fish and steal what twisted white yield the earth might bring forth.

In the beginning the world was filled with light, life and free possibilities for all who dreamed and dared to aspire. But the beginning had passed into legend and the reign of darkness had truly begun!
